What things can I do to help my 2yr olds love of music continue to grow?

She absolutely loves music and has sinse she was born. When she first learned to walk she started dancing like the next day. If she hears music she has to stop and listen and usually dance. The other day in the car a song came on the radio and I realized she was clapping with it and not just with it but on beat with it! My TWO year old!
So sinse I see her love of music I want to help her learn and grow wit hher passion for it.
Any ideas? I am on a very limited budget so I can go out and buy the latest and greatest new fangled thing or pay out $100’s of $ to have someone teach her so I need something I can do to teach her. I have a basic knowlage of music and reading music and knowing the notes.

first, make sure you keep exposing her to different types of music. her reaction will let you know what she likes best but styles like classical and jazz will help her develop her “ear”. which means her ability to hear notes and musical patterns. she is a little young for musical instruments. for right now i would just let her enjoy the music. you can make games of clapping along to the music and put different styles and rhythms. just to see if she really does pick up on the rhythms easily or if it was just a fluke. Even if it is, you can tech rhythm. if you want to buy a musical instrument, then maybe some type of percussion. drums, etc. but just realize that she might want to play that all the time. so you might be hearing a drum being played all day and night!.

in a year or two maybe invest in an electric keyboard. these are great becausee
-they are not too expensive. since you have time you can save up for one.
-you can control the volume and even turn it off.
-it is a good instrument becaus all the notes are there. does not require special skills like guitar, violin, trumpet, etc.

now is she is a careful, and gentle with her toys, furniture, pets, etc. you could possibly get her a keyboard now. i would not suggest a toy keyboard because they are very limited, don’t sound to great and it will not grow with her.
